the shell in this design is a little higher density than most of the competitors' offerings. we did that because we thought it was more important to maintain a lower profile...to avoid the mickey mouse look and to give the opponent less to grab onto. Our headgrar is close to the head...the hearing holes are large, placed perfectly and radiused for superb hearing and ventilation functions.
PLEASE...just try to find a better headgear!!
